This city was initially named Burrville after the first Vice president to serve under Thomas Jefferson, Aron Burr. However, after he was charged with treason eight years later, the name was changed to Clinton.
Oak Ridge and Clinton are two cities located in the Knoxville Metropolitan area. Although similar, Clinton provides a more rural life feel. On the other hand, Oak Ridge is its own city, with Melton Hill Lake creating a border of water on one side and small mountains on the other.
