Lenior City

Lenoir City was founded by, and named after, General William Lenoir as thanks for his service in the American Revolutionary War. Since then, it has grown into a suburban city of around 10,000 people.

Even though it already offers so much, Lenoir city is set to experience significant growth. Lenoir City is unique because it is affordable and rural yet well equipped with everything you could need. You’ll have access to local shopping, restaurants, and a hospital without having to leave town and take a trip to Knoxville. And if you do decide to visit Knoxville, Lenoir City is only a 30-minute drive from Downtown.

The same builder that did Turkey Creek in Farragut has plans to build a miniature Turkey Creek in Lenoir City. That means the area will soon be well equipped to take care of your retail and shopping needs. In the meantime, you can enjoy everything else Lenoir City has to offer. That includes down-home cooking at Donna’s Diner or treating yourself to authentic Mexican food at La Lupita Mexican Store and Restaurant.

Lenoir City is best known for its national landmark, the Lost Sea. The Lost Sea is America’s largest underground lake, which offers educational and entertaining tours year-round. There are also plenty of outdoor activities in Lenoir City, including golf courses, hiking trails, and lakes open to the public for swimming and boating.

With its relatively small size, Lenoir City has only two zip codes, them being 37771 and 37772.
