Blount County includes Maryville, Alcoa, and Rockford, and each city has its own unique charm. Blount County was first established in 1795. The name was chosen to commemorate the Territorial Governor, William Blount.

Currently, Blount County is home to one of the Denso Manufacturing Plants and a new Amazon Warehouse. Although all three cities have excellent schools, Maryville, which the locals pronounce as “Mairvul,” has an extremely well-sought-after public school system. There's even the Tuckaleechee Caverns, where you can explore incredible underground caves and stalagmites. It’s safe to say that Blount County has something for everyone.
